This project aims to elucidate and create a catalogue of all mammalian gene functions by creating and phenotyping gene-deficient mice for each gene in the mouse genome. IMPC also provides detailed phenotype data and mice disease models for international research communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized vk_block-margin-0--margin-top vk_block-margin-0--margin-bottom\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jmc.brc.riken.jp\/ja\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/mission\/impc\/pipeline_e00.webp\" alt=\"IMPC\u53c2\u52a0\u30e1\u30f3\u30d0\u30fc\u56f3\" style=\"width:750px;height:462px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><br>The RIKEN BRC is the only research institute participating in the IMPC project in Japan. Our division analyzes gene-deficient mice created by the Experimental Animal Division using ES cells or genome editing technologies.
